Workplace Bullying Workshop

HeadsUp.org, a website providing resources for employees, employers, managers, and small business owners, defines workplace bullying as “repeated and unreasonable behavior directed toward an employee or group of employees that creates a risk to health and safety.” This type of harmful behavior often goes unreported due to the shame and intimidation experienced by the victim. Many of these incidents remain hidden, especially when the bullied employee holds a lower-level position, and the perpetrator is someone with hiring or firing power. However, bullying is not limited to bosses or managers; it can also occur between co-workers at the same level or pay grade.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Define workplace bullying and explain the importance of its prevention.
  • Identify the benefits for individuals and the company in pursuing the complete elimination of workplace bullying.
  • Raise awareness about what constitutes workplace bullying, and how to recognize and prevent it.
  • Identify different types of workplace bullying and their negative impacts on the workplace.
  • Discuss Human Resources best practices for addressing workplace bullying issues.
  • Outline the steps for handling complaints related to workplace bullying.
  • Describe the benefits of recognizing and eliminating workplace bullying, as well as the negative effects of ignoring it.

Each lesson includes a downloadable worksheet to support practical application; the full course eBook is available in the Bonus Offers section at the end of the program and a 45-minute coaching session to help you to apply the skills learned.
