Creative Problem-Solving Workshop
In recent decades, both psychologists and business professionals have recognized that successful problem solvers often follow a similar process to identify and implement solutions. This process is effective for a wide range of problems, regardless of size.
The Creative Problem-Solving workshop provides participants with a comprehensive overview of the entire creative problem-solving process. It introduces key tools that can be utilized daily. Throughout the workshop, participants will enhance skills such as brainstorming, information gathering, data analysis, and resource identification.
Workshop Objectives:
- Gain an understanding of problems and the creative problem-solving process
- Identify types of information to gather and essential questions to ask in problem-solving
- Recognize the importance of accurately defining a problem
- Learn and apply four different problem definition tools
- Write clear and concrete problem statements
- Utilize basic brainstorming techniques to generate solution ideas
- Evaluate potential solutions against criteria, including cost/benefit analysis and group voting
- Conduct a final analysis to select the best solution
- Understand the roles of facts and intuition in selecting a solution
- Recognize the need to refine and redefine the shortlist
- Identify the tasks and resources required to implement solutions
- Evaluate and adapt solutions to fit real-world situations
