Anger Management Skills Workshop
Benjamin Franklin famously said, “In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.” We propose adding a third certainty to his list: anger. The ability to control and manage anger is crucial in all areas of life. Without this control, individuals limit their potential in both personal and professional spheres.
Anger, if left unchecked, can be a highly destructive force, leading to job loss, strained personal relationships, and even life-threatening situations. Given that everyone experiences anger, it is vital to develop constructive methods for managing it. Our Anger Management Workshop is designed to help participants identify their anger triggers and learn effective strategies to manage their emotions.
Workshop Objectives:
- Understand the dynamics of anger, including the anger cycle and the fight-or-flight response.
- Debunk common myths about anger and provide factual refutations.
- Recognize both helpful and unhelpful methods for dealing with anger.
- Distinguish between objective and subjective language.
- Learn tips for identifying the root causes of anger.
- Practice expressing feelings or positions using “I-messages.”
- Develop skills in negotiation and solution-building.
- Reflect on personal triggers and individual anger patterns.
